Grenoside Singers

Ecclesfield Handbell Ringers have been in existence for over 100 years. Using a long set of 5 chromatic octaves (170 bells) rung in off the table style by 10 ringers and a conductor.  A wide variety of music is played and the bells provide bass, tenor and treble parts.

Grenoside Singers are a mixed voice choir of 50 people singing popular, classical and religious pieces.  Formed in 2007 when Grenoside Male Voice Choir opened its doors to ladies for the first time in its 56 year history.

Concert by Sheffield Folk Chorale

24th April 2010 in the Church.

Since the choir started in 2001 it's gone from strength to strength. At the start the aim was simply to get together a choir to put on a Christmas carol concert featuring some less well known carols and songs. The SpiteWinter concert of 2001 was so successful and enjoyable, it was decided to sing on! 

Featuring traditional folk music and newly written songs from other countries, times and cultures. Sung in four part harmony this 80 strong choir has a wide ranging repertoire.
